VegasNow cookies policy
A cookie is a scrap of text your browser keeps for us so the lobby remembers who you are between clicks. We use few of them, we group them into three honest buckets, and you decide about two of those buckets.

What a cookie actually does here
When you load a VegasNow page we ask your browser to store a small file. Next time you tap something, the browser hands it back and we know the session is yours. Without it the site would forget you between every click, which is why a log-in cannot work with cookies switched off.
Alongside cookies we use two close relatives: local storage, which keeps slightly larger settings such as sound and animation on the device itself, and a few pixels in emails that tell us whether a message was opened. All three are covered here, because splitting hairs over the technology is less use to you than knowing what gets remembered. None of them read your files, watch your other tabs or follow you around the internet, and nothing we set holds your password or your card number.
The three buckets, in full
Only the first group is set without asking. The other two wait for your yes.
| Category | What it is for | Set without asking? | Typical life |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Signing you in, keeping your session alive, holding your bet slip, load balancing, blocking fraud and remembering your cookie choice | Yes, the site cannot function otherwise | Session to 12 months |
| Preference | Language, odds and currency display, sound on or off, your favourite pokies, hiding a promotion you have already dismissed | No | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Counting visits by page, noticing where a deposit flow is being abandoned, measuring load speed, all reported as totals rather than individuals | No | Up to 24 months |
What sits in each bucket, and who sets it
Essential cookies are ours. A session token proves you are signed in so every page after the log-in screen trusts you. A security cookie stops a hostile site submitting a form on your behalf. A balancing cookie pins you to one server mid session so a spin does not land in the wrong place. One more remembers the cookie choice itself: we need a cookie to remember that you said no to cookies.
Preference cookies make the lobby feel like yours. They remember that you muted the reels, that you keep ten pokies in a favourites row, that you read in Australian English, and that you closed a banner yesterday. Decline them and nothing breaks, you will just set the same things again on every visit.
Analytics cookies belong partly to a measurement provider acting on our instructions. They tell us a particular pokies page gets opened on phones far more than desktops, or that people drop out of the cashier at a certain step, which is exactly the sort of thing we want to fix. Your IP address is shortened before storage, and nobody reading those reports can see an individual player.
We run no third party advertising trackers here. If that changed, they would sit in a fourth bucket, off by default, and this page would say so first.

Managing cookies in your browser
Our settings panel is the quickest route, but your browser holds the final say and can clear or block everything we set. Paths move around between versions, so look under privacy rather than hunting for a fixed menu name.
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third party cookies and Delete browsing data.
- Safari: Settings, then Safari, then Advanced and Website Data on iPhone and iPad; Preferences, then Privacy on a Mac.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, where Enhanced Tracking Protection and Cookies and Site Data both live.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Private windows: everything is dropped when you close the window, so you start fresh each time.
Clearing cookies signs you out and resets your preferences, but it never touches your balance, bonus progress or history. Those live on our servers, tied to your account, not to the device in your hand.
Mobile playWhat happens if you turn them off
Blocking the essential group is the one choice with real consequences. Your browser cannot hold a session, so a sign-in drops out within seconds, a deposit cannot be completed and a game will not open. If you find yourself signed out over and over, a blanket cookie block or a strict privacy extension is almost always the reason, and allowing vegasnowau.io on its own fixes it.
Turning off preference cookies costs small comforts rather than function. The lobby loads in its default state every time, favourites do not persist and dismissed banners come back. Everything still works.
Turning off analytics costs you nothing. Same site, same games, same offers. We simply lose your visit from the totals we use to decide what to improve next, which is our problem rather than yours.
This page is updated whenever we add or retire a cookie, and the date at the foot of the site tells you when that last happened. Questions are welcome in 24/7 live chat.
Cookie questions
Quick answers before you get back to the games.
Can I play with cookies fully blocked?
No. Signing in and keeping a game session alive both depend on the essential group. Allowing cookies for this site only is the usual fix and leaves the rest of your browsing untouched.
Do cookies store my card details?
Never. Card data goes to our payment processor, and what returns to us is a token. Nothing sensitive is written into a cookie on your device.
Will clearing cookies lose my bonus progress?
No. Wagering progress, balances and free spin drips are held in your account on our servers. Clearing cookies logs you out, nothing more.
